Bathing American Girls Stretchy Fabric

Bathing American Girls Stretchy Fabric

This is the cutest little sunsuit! I took my 3 month-old camping at the beach and it is very hard to find swim/beach things for a baby that young. The i play brand came to the rescue! They have so many beach/swim/sun protection products that are high quality and adorable. Everyone who saw my baby asked me where I got this sunsuit. It made it so I only had to put sunscreen on his feet, hands, and face (got the all-clear from his pediatrician to use sunscreen on him and we used Mustela baby sunscreen, which is fantastic, by the way). I also LOVE that this has a zipper AND snaps. He did have a, um, diaper mishap in this and it had easy access and cleaned up wonderfully. FYI, I expected it to go to his ankles, but it went a little past his knee. He is a tall baby, though. I would recommend this to anyone taking their little one out into the sun.

I'd read where Teva fixed the problem mentioned about the sole falling off, and I love my Teva sandals that I've worn for 3 or 4 years that have this same type clasp (except on a more open type sandal), so I chanced it with these. I don't like messing with Velcro-like products every time I put on my shoes. I'm glad I got these. I wear them most of the time unless I'm running or at the gym. Great support, extremely comfortable, stylish to my eye. I haven't gotten them wet yet, but I'll be back here to change my review if they fall apart. The one down side at first is that they really, really stink coming out of the box. I set them outside for 2 days and nights before wearing them (1 day and night wasn't enough). Now there's no stink, and I've been wearing them continuously, walking the dogs in them, etc., and I'm extremely happy with them.

Aquabelle Chlorine Resistant Spirograph Swimsuit

Aquabelle Chlorine Resistant Spirograph Swimsuit

The most beautiful thing about this book, for me, is the way Shauna's hospitality shines through the pages. As I read her stories, I feel seen and heard. Although our stories are different, the feelings she shares are universal. The association between food and shame, the ways food is tied to both giving and receiving love, and the fears that hold us back from new experiences--these are pieces of each of our bigger stories. Shauna inspires me to try new recipes, to invite more people into my home, without overwhelming me or making me feel guilty or like a failure because I haven't done it before. She shares game-changing roasted broccoli and simply and perfectly prepared scrambled eggs right alongside elaborate dinner parties featuring printed menu cards--and I feel as though sharing love through each meal is not only possible, but the only ingredient that is truly necessary in any preparation.

If you are looking for encouragement as a home cook, a friend, a sister, a wife, a mom--you will find it in the pages of this book. Leafing through these pages, I feel as though I am at Shauna's table. I am sitting in her safe zone, and it is a place of warmth and nourishment for my heart. Not only is my heart encouraged, but Shauna opens her heart to me as well. She brings me into the hard places in her own life, the moments that catch you off guard and steal your breath and don't represent your best. She shares with so much honesty that I am drawn deeper into her story, and become more wiling to examine the darker places of my own story.

Shauna's words remind us of the way of food. She brings us back to our need for nourishment and our need for one another. The table is one space we share our common needs. Shauna's invitation, throughout this book, is "Come to the table." As I closed the book and began to digest her words, that is exactly what I wanted to do.

Calvin Klein Womens Bandeau Tankini

Calvin Klein Womens Bandeau Tankini

I was in the market for a new bathing suit. I have been working very hard lately to get in better shape, but still have some areas that I would like to be smaller/tighter. With an upcoming trip to Hawaii, i needed something fast that I could shrink into, for lack of a better term.

I didn't realize how expensive swimsuits have become! I didn't want to drop a ton of money on a one piece, as I am hoping to work my way into a bikini at some point. On the other hand I really feel ready for a two piece. I'm not sure if that makes any sense or not. In any case, this suit was perfect for me, as the sides can be tightened/raised up as I (hopefully) shrink. It is quite long, which is perfectly fine for me. If you have a shorter torso, you can tighten the sides to raise it up higher.

After reading previous reviews, I decided to go with a size 12. Perfect! It was a mild struggle to get it on/off, but it holds everything in flawlessly. I was particularly concerned about the chest aspect, considering I have quite the pair of girls who need support. As far as I can tell, there's plenty of support there. A previous reviewer was correct in their statement that the strap is loose. This is offset for me by the fact that the suit is so snug. Granted, I haven't tested it out in the water yet. I will update this review if everything falls apart there.

The material is thick without being too thick, and the shirring helps hide all those tricky spots. I'm going to wear it with a pair of swim shorts in a different color. It does not come with bottoms, which isn't clear in the listing but I'm so happy with the top that I can't really lower the review because of it.

All in all, I didn't want to spend this much on a bathing suit but it is worth every cent. Hoorah!

I've been looking to upgrade my router to a Wireless N since upgrading my modem several months ago, and finally the right deal hit - A Netgear WNR1500 which supports 802.11bgn. My needs are basic: I need to wire in a game console and my PC, and have access to wireless for cell phones and laptops throughout the rest of the house.

The list price for the WNR1500 is $50, but I got it for $30 plus a $10 mail in rebate, and I couldn't say no. The industry reviews on the item were very good quality, and I pulled the trigger.

Setup of the router was simple, the wizard got me up and running in no time - and for the power user there's a bevy of options available to tweak your security and settings. There were no compatibility or driver issues at all with my Windows 7 PC, I plugged and played.

The unit features two detachable antannaes. I actually had some concern about the range, because bucking all advice, I set up this router in the BASEMENT of my house (You are supposed to have your router as high as you can), because that's where the majority of the units I wanted to WIRE in were. The WNR1500, in addition to the wireless, also features 4 LAN ports. But, after setting it up in the basement (on the bottom shelf of a stand, no less) - Testing on the 1st and 2nd floors of my house went flawlessly, I was impressed with the strength and range. I was getting full bars as far away from the router as I could be while still being indoors.

This is probably not too important to most, but I think the unit looks sharp as well, sleek and all black with the appropriate blinking lights.

Overall, I am very pleased with the router and have no complaints.

Pros:Great range, looks sharp, easy set up.
Cons:None.

The Bottom Line: Couldn't be happier with the WNR1500 - If your routing needs are basic, I can't think of a reason not to go with this.

Works great for what I needed...

Netgear Wireless Detachable Antennas WNR1500

Netgear Wireless Detachable Antennas WNR1500

Braza Silicone Dolly Super Inserts

Braza Silicone Dolly Super Inserts

Okay, confession time. I had a baby recently and went from a 34D pre-baby to a 34G while nursing, and now that baby is bigger, boobs are slightly deflated at a 34Cminus/Bplus. It is sad, I know. I can't afford (mentally or financially) implants right now, and the girls are pretty much where I left them gravity-wise but are leaving a pretty sizeable gap in my Vic. Sec. bikini tops, so I needed a little something to help the old bikinis look decent again. Out of desperation, I tried 2 or 3 of the push up pads that came with the Vic. Sec. tops in each cup, and every conceiveable combo of those, waterpads, round push-ups and socks. The Swim-shaper Dollies look much better than anything I could come up with. They give as much "oomph" as probably 3 Vic. Sec. push-up pads, and are much more comfortable. They definitely fixed the problem, fit into the little cubbyhole in the bikini tops easily and made me feel a lot better. The only negative is that they are a little heavy. They work best in tops with a band or underwire. Not as well, but still perfectly acceptable in string tops. Bottom line: I love these!!! I was so impressed I considered posting a before and after pic. Maybe after I lose the muffin top.

I've tried several different types of wet bags and this has been my favorite so far. It is made of the same PUL type fabric as the Planet Wise diaper pail liners, and as such is easier to care for than the Wet Happened bags that I also have. Some things to consider:
1) With 2 children in diapers now, I can hold about 2 days worth of diapers, though that obviously varies with the age of the child, the type of diapers used, and the day (in general).
2) While the bag does an excellent job of keeping moisture and smells inside, it is in the end just a bag. It will be fine for a couple of days, but it does start to leech out a bit of moisture and smell. While one expects this of a diaper pail in one's one house, if you are using this for traveling, realize that this may become stressful in a house that doesn't belong to you. We let it go for 3.5 days once because we weren't sure how our friends would feel about us putting dirty diapers in their washing machine. Instead I ended up scrubbing carpet (where the bag sat) and airing out the room to remove the evidence of our stay (it cleared out quickly :-) ). The next time I just brought my detergent with me and did a wash on day 2- there was zero smell and everything was completely dry.
I highly recommend this bag for short or overnight trips. It can hang on a door or hook, but I hate having things hang from my doorknobs, so I can't comment on the effectiveness of that. The handle is nice for carrying it when full. For home use, I still prefer a pail with a liner. It's a lot easier to tap open a pail lid with my wrist than to try to unzip a laden wet bag with one hand while holding a dirty diaper and a child.

excellent suit- order up though

Speedo Quantum Splice Superpro Swimsuit

Speedo Quantum Splice Superpro Swimsuit

This is a fantastic suit, classic Speedo quality and flattering design.

If you've read all the reviews and are wondering what's going on with the sizes, here's what you need to know:

1. It is cut for serious swimmers, not to wear while sunning yourself on the beach. That means it grips tightly around the straps and leg holes. If you're muscular, you won't notice. If you're less muscular, you might bulge a bit. That doesn't mean the suit is too tight!

2. The sizing is accurate, that is a 36 is a size six (which is what the chart tells you it should be). I'm 141 pounds, 5' 5", 27" waist, and wear a size 6 jean. The suit fits me perfectly.

3. That said, I expect it depends quite a bit on how you're built.

If you're pear-shaped, with a narrow torso, you should be fine. My butt is 39" (39.5 on a bad day) but my rib cage is only 29" or 30", with a bust size of 35" fully expanded. My shoulders are big, but basically: the parts of me that are INSIDE the suit (stomach, torso, chest) are relatively petite. The parts that are OUTSIDE the suit (shoulders, butt) are where I carry a lot of my weight.

If you have a thick torso, big waist, or large bust (as one of the other reviewers noted), the suit probably WILL be tight for you. I could see where someone with a 34" or 36" rib cage (or a 38" or larger bust) could run into problems.

So if your butt or shoulders are largish--no worries, get the suit. If your waist, chest, or bust are on the large size--consider going up a size or two.

Hope this helps!
